Lyte Ladders Podium Steps

Lyte Ladders Podium Steps

Established in 1947, Lyte have been manufacturing aluminium and glass fibre access equipment for over 65 years. Ladders & Towers from Lyte have been used in many countries all over the world and for all sorts of reasons.

One of the most famous expeditions in the world, the ascent to the summit of Mount Everest in May 1953, was completed By Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay and involved the use of a Lyte sectional aluminium ladder. This was used to negotiate the crevasse they encountered and Lyte believe that ladder is still there today!

Podium steps are the safest way to undertake low-level works at height and offer complete stability and security to prevent accidents. Where health and safety requires a ladder to be footed a podium step can be manned single handidly. They are light weight so are easy to manoeuvre and can be folded for easy storage.
