The worst Compactor plate i have ever used. Within one hour of using the whacker the fuel tank was falling off it is held on with three brackets and two had snapped. Then I also noticed all the bolts to hold the exhaust in had fell off and part of the exhaust had snapped. I contacted site box and returned the item under warranty. Whilst sitebox were extremely helpful evolution did not do anything to speed up the process of me getting the item back. I had to suspend the job I was doing for a week. When the item was returned 2 weeks later I had started another job which required me to use the compactor again. The pull cord came loose straight away and then when it finally worked the compactor just kept cutting out. So another job suspended until I can hire a compactor. No idea what’s going on because I no one is available until the 4th January to reply. Avoid buying this product, totally unreliable

I ordered a compactor having found Sitebox through an internet search. They offered the cheapest price I could find anywhere. I am sometimes dubious about sites with low prices when I haven't used them before as they don't always offer a very good service. I needn't have worried with Sitebox as a received my item within 48hrs and the service was backed up with excellent email contact, parcel tracking and full paperwork. Overall a brilliant service and I will be happy to recommend them to my work colleagues.

Great service, ordered at 2.30PM and the delivery was with me the following morning. The compactor was perfect for our needs and did a great job. Not as big or heavy as some you can hire but managed 30 square meters of hardcore & sand no problem. Perefect for smaller DIY jobs.

Went to Sitebox as they offered the the best online price and had the item in stock. Bought this for home patio project and light/medium commercial at work. Delivery from site box was with few days and nachine is easy to use and excellent. Used for whacking 25m2 of type 1 hardcore today and done it easily. Would recommend both sitebox and this whacker b

Amazing piece of kit for the money. I managed to crack the front cast weights section on the first day but luckily we have a weld shop to repairs these. I spoke with evolution and they were happy to send replacement but I did not need after repair. The compression rate is not as good as some compactors on the market but we use this one for tarmac to 100mm deep, sub base to 250mm deep (do two layers if we want deeper) and pee shingle to 100mm deep (again layers if deeper). Owned 6 months used weekly through the summer so far so good.

Compactor arrived today and first impressions are good, was concerned about the money side of things and would it be cheap and not worth the saving but its surprisingly heavy duty. ok not belle heavy duty but decent! good value

We now own 2 of these and are impressed with their reliability and build quality. We had occasional minor issues with one if the compactors not starting first time in very cold conditions but that's it. The comparison between buying one of these and hiring a compactor is strongly camped in the buy section
