Further to my one star review in March, I again sent that new machine back for repair. Due to lockdown, I didn't receive anything back for months (in the meantime buying a Draper which is excellent). Eventually, I received another new machine (my third) instead of a repair. Having recently come to use it, this one is also faulty! (and dangerous). It is spluttering badly, only got half a flame and is clearly giving off unburned gas, as headaches and sore eyes come on quickly! There is no way I can recommend a Clarke machine or will ever buy another. They are utterly appalling.

I posted a review in November 2018 just after buying one of these, as it seemed spot on. However, now I have a different view. The heater went about a week past its warranty and then failed. Clarkes weren't interested in helping, other than paying to fix it. Fortunately, Sitebox came to the rescue and after speaking to Clarkes, they agreed to fix it under warranty. It was sent back to Clarkes and returned to us a couple of weeks later, having been 'repaired'. However, it still did not work. It went back again for repair. When it was returned to us this time, it just about worked, but nowhere near properly. So back to Clarkes for a third time. This time, they sent a new heater instead. However, after a couple of weeks, this one does not now work and is blowing the fuse box each time it is plugged in. I've had it with these Clarkes machines and can not recommend them. Time to try a different brand.

I have a single skin double garage with no insulation.Within around 15 minutes it heats it to the extent that I have to turn it down to minimum or sometimes switch it off for a while as it gets too hot! An excellent heater for the price. The only downside is that it is a little noisy but you get used to it

Best price I could find and excellent delivery, well done Sitebox. An excellent heater. Have spent many comfortable hours working in my double garage/workshop. The beauty of the Devil700 is you can get it warm quickly then turn the heat down and save some gas whilst maintaining a comfortable temperature.

Great little heater for my sons industrial unit. Yes, it is very noisy and yes, it does smell a bit but soon takes the chill off and makes it much easier to work. Great service from Sitebox and the best price around. Would definitely recommend.

The heater arrived promptly and is exactly as described on the website. It heats my double garage without difficulty, even in the coldest of weather. Important to ensure adequate ventilation.
