The HYC4618 is a general purpose, mid-range chainsaw now available in the United Kingdom and Ireland as part of the new Hyundai garden machinery line-up, launched in summer 2013. Powered by Hyundai’s new EURO ll 2.4hp two-stroke engine fuelled by a high-spec Walbro carburettor, the HYC4618 is equipped with an 18in (46cm) Oregon bar and chain giving it the capacity to deal with a wide variety of timber types and sizes.
Typical sawing applications include production of logs for open fires and wood-burning stoves, boundary fence work and the ground-level lopping of excess, unsafe or obstructive tree branches and boughs. A combination of excellent balance and a 6.1kg (dry weight) gives the HYC4618 the capacity to be used over short or extended periods without placing excess strain or pressure on the user. For optimum operator comfort and safety, the HYC4618 chainsaw has a highly-effective anti-vibration system and a safety brake that stops the chain instantly in the event of machine kick-back in work.
Ideal for a host of domestic, estate and semi-professional sawing duties, the HYC4618 has been designed and built to provide many years of reliable and effective service to owners and users. Regular servicing and correct chain sharpening will help ensure that it keeps delivering the excellence built-in as standard by Hyundai.
