Why are they called Bullett locks?
All locking mechanism and alarm components are housed in a removable ?Bullett? unit. No tools are required, the key operates both functions and provides access for maintenance, upgrades or battery changes.
The Bullett is a removable key barrel that operates both lock and alarm. One turn of the key locks the unit for use as a lock with 110dB alarm; a second turn disarms the alarm for unalarmed use or for storage.
Each XENA Bullett key barrel is pick-proof, freeze-spray proof and corrosion-free with 250,000 key combinations. This new and innovative platform frees XENA?s alarmed locks for use in virtually any locking application.
One-year battery life, corrosion-resistant materials, weatherproof electronics provide trouble free service for years to come.
The Alarm System - When the lock is closed, the alarm will arm automatically. After approximately 5 seconds, the alarm will beep once to confirm it is armed.
After it is armed, shock and movement sensors work independently to trigger the alarm if the unit is tampered with.
When triggered, the alarm will sound for approximately 10-15 seconds. The alarm will then re-set and re-arm. If the attack continues, the alarm will sound again.
