There are areas within many domestic gardens, country estates and amenity open spaces where a hand-held line trimmer is simply not large or powerful enough to get through the work in a reasonable time or without causing undue stress or strain to the user. If that situation is familiar to you, or one which you’d like to avoid, then the Hyundai HYFT56 Field Trimmer with its large diameter wheels offers a cost-effective, productive and easy-to-use solution able to work happily in any area which can be safely reached and walked on by the user of the machine.
Powered by a single cylinder 5.5hp Hyundai four-stroke petrol engine, the HYFT56 has a high-speed rotating 4mm diameter nylon cord capable of cutting through dense, tough or woody vegetation ranging from tussocks of grass to brambles, nettles and docks. It works very well in horse paddocks and prior to putting up electric fences in fields.
Being flexible and durable, the nylon cord can work safely close to trees, fences or walls, enabling control of difficult-to-access vegetation that would otherwise have to be dealt with by hand.
Equally suitable for use on large open spaces containing specimen trees and shrubs or areas of uneven, undulating or sloping ground, the HYFT56 has a maximum cutting width of 560mm (22in) and adjustable height of cut from 38mm to 76mm (1.5in – 3in) to suit the vegetation and the finish required. The handles can be adjusted in seconds to suit users of differing heights and reach or folded completely for storage and transportation.

Ordered on line and it arrived two days later. Easy to set up and it was out and running on my 2 acres in double quick time. The only problem is the strimmer line. No really clear definition in the manual other than 4mm size. However, the line supplied was 3.3 mm Star type. I ended up ringing Hyundai and they weren't really sure either. Ended up buying some 4mm Oregon 111085E Flexiblade. Watch this space.

I ordered a Hyundai Field Strimmer plus safety goggles and headphones last Thursday at 2.30pm and received all the items Friday lunchtime - all this with Free delivery! Wonderful service and the strimmer has taken taken the back breaking task of annually cutting our 2 acre field happily tacking tussock grass, brambles and uneven ground surprisingly quietly. We are very pleased!
