The Hyundai HYM480SPER lawn mower is powered by an impressive Hyundai 139cc / 3.7hp OHV economical petrol 4-stroke engine for quick and efficient cutting.
With rear wheel drive, which is especially good for handling uneven terrain, this mower also features a self-propelled system where all you have to do is hold on and steer - no pushing required! Fast and simple delivery! Simply the best. First mower impressions are looking good. It is well built and is simple to prepare for its first use. The assembly instructions are a little ambiguous because there are so many different variations of the product described. Plus the assembly cheat-sheet contradicts the main manual on a few points. But common sense prevailed and the thing was ready within 15 mins. The first cutting results look good too, although it really did struggle with slightly long damp grass, just clogging rather than collecting. We will see in the weeks ahead. Manoeuvrability in corners with the split roller on the back is not as good as with normal wheels and the unit with battery and rollers is noticeably heavier than my 12 year old 48cm Wolf mower with a B&St. engine. That I will have to get used to. Starting is easy, with or without the starter, but don't forget to move the starter lever back from 'Start' to 'Run' or it will start hunting and struggling. It runs well and at an acceptable drive speed. The water hose attachment for cleaning the deck underside was a dissappointment. It didn't really do the job much, especially on the long cuttings. No chance. I really do love the stripes, which is why I bought it in the first place. I'm using it in Germany where mowers with rolles = stripes are nowhere to be found. The neighbours are already intreagued. My mower is unique here! Some more trials in the coming weeks will hopefully back up my first impressions. Lets see. One more point.. Why did the price increase 100GBP in the weeks after my purchase? That significant price hike doesn't make any sense for this class of mower. At the lower price, this is a perfect mower option!
