• Bearing an element of resemblance to the precursory Fox F46-717 44" professional lathe, the F46-717A has been honed, polished, and refined into a simply first class example of affordable turning equipment
• Building on Fox's traditional core strengths, it not only retains a substantial, unflinching build quality from unsparing volumes of cast iron, but also benefits from an upgraded 1½ hp motor positioned to the rear of the headstock
• This prevents the motor from obstructing during bowl-turning operations and also limits the ingress of dust and chippings into the air inlet
• Capacities for bowl turning and between turning centres are 14" (408mm) and 41¾" (1060mm) respectively
• Like its predecessor, the F46-717A provides impressive performance through a range of 10 turning speeds
• Steeplessly adjusted via a poly-V drive system, speeds from 500rpm - 2000rpm are on offer
• Industry standard fitting feature: 1" x 8tpi main drive spindle and MT2 head and tail stock features a 10mm through hole, particularly suited to lamp production where an electrical cable must be concealed
• Supplied as standard with cast iron legstand, a four-spur centre, and a multi-positional cast tool rest
