The Hitachi DV18DSFL is part of the Hitachi 18V Li-ion Slide-on Battery Range.
The Hitachi DV18DSFL features a sleek design and slim soft grip handle for both comfort and easy maneuverability. Powered by 18V Li-ion slide-on batteries, the DV18DSFL delivers a steady level of power during use and has a handy built in LED job light to illuminate the work area. This powerful hammer drill provides 45Nm of torque, an impact rate of 0-5,600/0-21,000 and two-speed mechanical gearing for decreased speed when needed for control. The 13mm keyless chuck allows for simple bit changes, while the metal belt hook makes sure the DV18DSFL is always close at hand. The adjustable clutch features 22 drive settings, 1 drill setting and 1 hammer drill setting to be sure the torque is just right for the application.
The Hitachi DV18DSFL uses lithium-ion battery technology which has a number of advantages, the batteries have no memory effect which allows them to be recharged before they are completely discharged, they are up to 40% lighter than a NiCD or NiMH battery and they also maintain their charge noticeably longer which provides increased productivity.
